A few days ago, I came upon a web page of Robert M. Love's kernel patches. I was astonished to read :

In parse_options in init/main.c, there is a bug but no one believes me (and hence this patch has never been applied). On the command line you can have environment variables and kernel arguments. Each is stored in a buffer and accumulated by parsing the command line in a loop. If either buffer fills, the loop is terminated via break. The loop should not terminate, in case the other buffer is not full and there is data for it, thus we should use continue.

This web page is dedicated to Robert, and his fight to get this patch into the kernel. In short, ROBERT, WE BELIEVE YOU! We are positive you are right, and because of this, we are starting a petition. It will be available for download soon, for you to take door to door in your neighbourhood.

It's important that we take a stand against the enemy like this, and make sure that when one of us is treated in such an inappropriate way, that the rest of us are there for him.

Robert, this page is for you!

Bill from Bala-Ernst wrote to me, and told me about this page, and I couldn't help but feel for Richard, so here's my vote! Just make sure they can't trace me from here!
